Lightning Bolt, Boredoms @ Webster Hall 07/02/06

Webster Hall was a strange venue to see Lightning Bolt in. It was odd having people up on the balcony level completely removed watching the guys down below. I counted three pairs of broken glasses.

I overheard alot of misinformation about Boredoms, apparently alot of people had come just for Lightning Bolt or had just heard their name dropped in reviews of experimental albums in general. Someone was talking about the extreme noise to come but that isn't really what Boredoms do anymore it's more of a drum circle plus Eye now.

"Hello New York, we are Boredoms" as the three drummers threw down a beat and eye came out with two handheld lights that made effects depending on how fast he was moving them and where he held them.

After the first encore, the band finally returned to the stage for another at which point I began shouting out "ACHIIID...POLESAAAY" a couple of times. Eye then got a grin on his face looked over to Yoshimi, nodded and then jumped into the air, arms flailing, and continued the "Acid Police" chant.
